HOW IT STARTED?
Since 1999, when we first started to come to Croatia for business, we started to experience and work the opportunities that the country and its hinterland has to offer, in terms of Project shipments, realizing very well that most of the capital investments made in the Balkan area, are imported/exported via Croatia, even we could say so for its 5 neighboring countries.
Ever since that moment, we started visiting Croatia on a regular basis, and also learned to admire its rich history from a personal perspective, the monumental UNESCO buildings, its more than 1.000 islands, the culture, the hospitality of the local population, its Mediterranean climate, the delicious gastronomy, and especially the relaxed atmosphere that the country is breathing.
For over 8 years we have been talking and discussing as a couple to leave Belgium behind us, and one day, to come and live here forever!
And so, like grandfather and father where blood is thicker than water, 2012 the time had finally come also for us to stop working under a company structure, and experience the kick-off with a new challenge for ourselves.
During the first 6 months, we were blessed with a free period that came as perfect timing for us, during which we moved over here and established our own company R&B Global Projects.
From that moment on, both feeling still young and full of energy, 6 months was just about the right time to re-start the engines and resume our activities in the shipping and transport industry. R&B was born, after a refreshing period and full of new adrenaline, ready for action!

OUR AIM
As you have always known us as a couple-team, driven by a personal approach on each business we handle, R&B will continue this way of working, if not even more, to manage things ourselves , to the best benefit of our clients! Having always worked as a niche team and quite independently even in bigger company organizations, we are of opinion that continuing in the same way under R&B will bring us the same goals and results we aim for.
Also, we are confident, that the network we have built and the global agents we will work with, will continue to give you and us the best of support. Taking all this together, the aim of R&B is to create the best transport solution for the projects we will handle, on the pricing side but surely also on the logistics/operational side, with 24/7 availability!

Ilse Blockx
Director / Finance
Ilse Blockx will be responsible for R&B Financial Management, Bookkeeping, Administration, as well as further back-office activities like ISO, travel planning, IT..and take care of your needs if you visit us for business or pleasure. She will also join R&B activities in general forwarding, container transport, customs arrangements, and render assistance to Dave Roosen when and where necessary.
Dave Roosen
Director / Projects / Sales
Dave Roosen will be responsible for R&B daily activities on the side of chartering brokerage, transport logistics and project contracting.He will also be the ‘travelling ranger’ in R&B, taking hands on abroad missions and consultancy work, and render assistance to Ilse Blockx when and where necessary.
